These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Nibu Technologies Corp (“Nibu”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your use of our AI-powered language learning app, website, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Nibu.1. Who Can Use Nibu
You may use Nibu only if:
You are 13 years or older, or have verified parental consent if under 13
You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract
You agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws
Parents and legal guardians are fully responsible for any use of Nibu by children under their care.2. Your Account
To use many features of Nibu, you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information
Maintain the confidentiality of your password
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
You are responsible for all activity under your account.3. Subscriptions and Payments
Nibu offers both free and paid services. Paid subscriptions may include monthly, quarterly, or annual plans.

Auto-renewal applies unless canceled prior to the renewal date
You may cancel at any time through your app store or account settings
Refunds are only issued where required by law
We do not store full payment details.4. Use of the Services

Use bots, scripts, or automation tools
Access or reverse-engineer our source code
Misuse AI features to generate inappropriate content
Upload viruses or interfere with service functionality
Harass other users or our AI system
We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.5. Voice Features and AI Processing
Nibu uses your device’s microphone to provide real-time, speech-based language learning. By enabling voice features, you agree to the following:

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may be imperfect. You understand and agree that:
Nibu is an educational tool, not a certified tutor or translator. Use your discretion when interpreting feedback.
We encourage users to report content concerns via in-app support.7. Content and Intellectual Property
All content in Nibu — including lessons, AI-generated voices, characters, and graphics — is owned or licensed by Nibu Technologies Corp.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, or distribute Nibu content
Use our branding, logo, or mascots (e.g. “Nibu”) without permission
User-generated input (e.g. voice, responses) remains yours, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it for:
Delivering the service
Improving AI and system performance (anonymized)8. Community & Parental Responsibility
If you are a teacher, parent, or guardian using Nibu for minors:
You are responsible for reviewing content and privacy practicesYou agree to supervise usage and approve voice-enabled features
You must comply with COPPA or other applicable child privacy laws
We offer limited access to support parental controls and data review upon request.9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if:

Upon termination, your data will be deleted or anonymized according to our Privacy Policy.10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee:
That you will achieve a specific language level
Continuous or error-free access
Perfect accuracy from AI or speech recognition
Use of Nibu is at your own risk.11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Nibu is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
We are not responsible for lost data, missed progress, or improper translations
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the last 12 months12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless otherwise required by applicable law.13. Changes to Terms
